Slow service, and its not just 1 time we've been here several times and its always slow but the food is fantastic. The big daddy rains burger and chicken strips/wings are money. Great fried okra, cold beer and the prices are very reasonable. This is our favorite place to eat in downtown Anderson hands down. Just come with plenty of time and no rush.

We stopped in for lunch today after seeing it on a walk down Main Street. Nice interior, old red brick walls and hardwood floors. Dining room towards the front, bar in the middle, "sports bar" space and a pair of pool tables in the rear. We were seated quickly and our server Tanjie B was there nearly the moment we sat down to give us menus and asked if we wanted something to drink while are looked at the menu. She was back right away with our drinks and took our food orders. The food was served promptly and was delivered hot and correctly. She checked on us as she went by without hovering. We enjoyed out meal and the service.

My family and I traveled from Mississippi to visit family in a local hospital. We stayed at a hotel across the street. One night I took my son over and loved everything. Pickle fries, chicken fettuccine, pot roast melt sandwich, bird dog, loaded potato and fries. All was so good I convinced two cousins to come back the next day 12pm on a Saturday. They were a Lil busy. We may of waited about 30 mins and it was worth the wait. I got the pot roast melt again and it did not disappoint they also have pool tables for 6 an hour and decent music playing. They do charge 3% charge on credit cards which shows up as a facility fee on the receipt but most places charge the customer the fee the card company will charge them.

Rented the downstairs room for my baby shower. It made a beautiful venue! Service was great. We ordered food. I had the fried chicken salad, and it did not disappoint. Would highly recommend this place as a nice small venue if needed, and it's a great place to eat!

We were staying across the street at the Bleckleyin and had just come from dropping our freshman daughter off at Clemson. We were exhausted and stressed out and just wanted to eat in our room but didn’t want fast food. We placed a take-out order and I was so tired that I couldn’t figure out how to order an extra baked potato so the manager assisted me when I called the restaurant and was so kind and helpful. We ordered a salmon salad and a salmon dinner with a side order of comfort food in the way of an additional baked potato, and some macaroni and cheese. The baked potatoes were fabulous and crusted with salt just the way they should be! Also, something notable was that they put the salmon for the salad in a separate container. Not all restaurants take the time to do this and it is really appreciated because by the time you eat the salad when you get take out, the whole salad is hot. So kudos to Raines for that. It really is the little things. The macaroni and cheese was awesome and so cheesy and really made us feel a little better. I don’t know what their secret is but it is very good! I would love to come back and go to this restaurant another time when we can sit inside and eat. Highly recommend this place!
